or perhaps what is wrong with our society now days? I guess the police are doing the best with what they have.

Our local jail is releasing non-violent prisoners this week due to overcrowding. TwitchWha? This means drug dealers, prostitutes, thieves are getting out scott free because we don't have enough beds for them. this also means there are more people than ever committing crimes.

Waaa Waa boo hoo I say shove them suckers in the cells like sardines and let them sleep standing up. Why exactly do we have to pay for their comfort?

Also this morning I heard the wonderful news. A lady near me drowned her baby (because she didn't want it) and then burnt her house down to make it looked like they were trapped in a fire. (seriously, anyone who watches CSI, is going to know that wont work) They later found the baby half buried in the woods. They gave her the MINIMUM sentence of 20 years. She will be released at the age of 45. I hope at that point someone drowns her....I'm just saying. There are 2 churches and a shelter in town that take infants "no questions asked". Why not just give it to someone else if you didn't want the baby?

On the lighter, less depressing side of pet peeves: Women who carry fake purses. Really...we all know it's not a real Louis Vuitton, that would cost more than the clunker of a car you drive. Yet you try to convince everyone it's real....

We recently had the perfect answer to a crime here in Calgary!
2 guys broke into the zoo (which I may add is ridiculously easy to do), climbed the first fence to the tiger cage idea, then stood right at the 2nd fence, where the 2 year old tiger, alerted to the intruder disarmed him. HaHaHa HaHaHa HaHaHa HaHaHa HaHaHa HaHaHa HaHaHa HaHaHa HaHaHa HaHaHa HaHaHa HaHaHa HaHaHa HaHaHa HaHaHa

aaahhhhhh, what a moron...an armless moron now, but a moron all the same... shakehead teehee

DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED!!! bash head bash head bash head I have a serious PEEVE with the legal system... my ex-husband is a known lunatic. He's had 3 restraining orders in the last 5 yrs (all from me)... he's violated these orders SIX TIMES. He's been convicted ONCE. The first time, they let him plead down to something else that wouldn't count as a violation. Two of the other times they lumped together, and he was found not guilty WITH prejudice (only because I fought it. When he is convicted AGAIN, they will also count this one). He got a failure to appear and had a warrant out for over a year... did anyone call me? No. Another time he was found not guilty because I didn't have enough evidence. TwitchWha? The order says "NO EMAIL"...here is a copy of AN EMAIL... I Dunno WTF?! Finally once he WAS convicted, he got massive fines, a full year of court mandated domestic violence counselling (which he had to pay $$$$ for out of pocket cheese) and 2 yrs probation. But no jail time. Seriously... I'm lucky he's not a violent offender...he's just a crazy drunk who's not all that smart. But they don't do SHIT to help the victims of crimes like this. Nothing. They take your statement and you're lucky if you hear anything back at all. If you do, it's MONTHS later (literally, for one, I waited a little over a YEAR for a court date). We've been to court ELEVEN TIMES. He's shown up... ONCE. bash head bash head bash head

The only bright spot in the situation was a nice cop who took pity on me... when he did have that warrant, he violated the order 2 more times. The first time... no one told me he even had a warrant. The 2nd time, the cop says... oh this won't do... do you know where he is? Of course I do... he keeps me apprised of his every move...he happens to be at work right now. Oh good! Can you give me the address? ABSOLUTELY! rubhands They arrested him AT WORK, where he had to sit in the lobby in handcuffs next to a cop for 2 HRS so my cop could go pick him up and extradite him (diff county). bwaa ha haaaaaaaaaaaa

Wow Carly....all that sucks! I don't understand why there are so many rules to protect criminals and none to protect the innocent. sad

They are always complaining about the overcrowding issue around here. I say instead of a bunk, desk, TV blah blah blah...Line them beds up prison camp style and what happens....happens. Maybe if you didn't make it so cozy for them they wouldn't want to come back waiting You get 3 meals a day, money sent home to you family every month, all the free time to exercise and watch TV and movies.....please, what happened to the days they had to break rocks in the sun all day idea

dont even get me started on the legal system...

i say we ship all the criminals off to a deserted island and give them all shovels, a bottle of crazy glue and bleach and let them at each other. That would be for the violent offenders of course that way we could use the prisons for those that are lesser criminals and only do things like drugs and steal. I personally dont think prostitutes should be locked up...shit its their body to do with it as they please. We dont arrest gold diggers and there is no real difference between the two at least the prostitute is up front about who they are.
